Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners during their formative years. In this role, you will create a vibrant, engaging classroom environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and a love for learning. Your expertise will help children develop essential skills in literacy, numeracy, social-emotional understanding, and physical development. You will be instrumental in fostering a safe, inclusive space where children can explore, discover, and thrive through innovative teaching methods and personalized attention. Responsibilities Design and implement lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs. Foster positive behavior management strategies to create a respectful and nurturing classroom environment. Support children's developmental milestones by applying knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques. Engage in classroom management practices that promote organization, safety, and effective learning experiences for toddlers and preschoolers. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to monitor progress, share insights, and develop individualized education plans when necessary. Maintain accurate records of student progress, conduct assessments including standardized testing when appropriate, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Obtain continuing education hours each year Qualifications/Skills 18 years of age High school diploma Must pass a FBI fingerprint background check Demonstrate classroom management skills that foster an engaging and disciplined learning environment. Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices for working with children of various ages including toddlers. Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively while supporting child welfare and emotional well-being.
