Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development, including Montessori-inspired activities. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies. Engage with children through interactive lessons in areas such as math, literacy education, physical education, and arts to support holistic development. Monitor and document each child's progress using standardized assessments and tailored observations to inform lesson planning and individualized support. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate developmental milestones, behavioral concerns, and classroom activities effectively. Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring safety protocols are followed and that the environment is clean, organized, and welcoming. Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as needed. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy education. Experience with toddler care and working with students of diverse backgrounds including special education needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage parents or guardians. Certification in early childhood education or related fields such as Montessori training is advantageous. Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for nurturing young learners.
