Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive and faith development. This role involves implementing age-appropriate curricula, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's individual needs to promote a positive educational experience. Experience in early childhood education, classroom management, and curriculum development is highly valued. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the foundational skills of our students and supporting their overall growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning. Manage daily classroom activities, including circle time, arts and crafts, physical education, and storytime. Support children's social-emotional development through behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques. Assess individual student progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing when applicable. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address individual needs or concerns. Incorporate literacy education, math skills, early intervention strategies, and special education practices as needed to support diverse learners. Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and other required documentation. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote child welfare at all times. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children is required; experience with toddlers is a plus. Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to early intervention, special education, and behavior management. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and supporting growth in all areas of development: cognitive, physical, social, emotional, communication, and spiritual. Experience working in daycare settings is desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and children.
