Part-Time Floater & Substitute

Van Learning Center is a licensed child-care center located in Van, TX inside the Connections Church on Main St. We believe play is learning and children learn through their imagination. We are also focused on cognitive development of each child. Van Learning Center is looking for someone who is experienced in childcare to work with our students. You will be rotating classrooms as needed subbing and giving breaks throughout the day. Duties

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
• Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and other staff members
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom
• Manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions among children
• Keep accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations Qualifications
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or daycare setting (preferred)
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members
• Current certification in CPR and first aid (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check
