Full Job Description:
Mountain West Gymnastics Academy is Davis County's newest full-service gymnastics facility—and our gymnastics-based preschool program is expanding rapidly! We're seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team and work with children ages 2 to 5 years old. This is a part-time position with flexible shift options, offering 9-17 hours per week based on your availability. Classes run Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. If you're enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about early childhood development—and you're excited to grow with a dynamic, fast-paced program—we'd love to meet you!

1065 S 500 W Bountiful, Utah Apply at: or through Indeed Key Responsibilities Create a nurturing, respectful, and engaging environment for every child Teach foundational gymnastics skills to young children (no experience needed—we provide training!) Serve as the lead classroom teacher, guiding daily activities and ensuring a positive, productive learning environment Take ownership of classroom operations, including managing transitions, maintaining schedules, and ensuring the day runs smoothly Direct and support assistant teachers by delegating responsibilities, providing guidance, and fostering teamwork Build positive relationships with families and communicate with parents regularly regarding student progress, classroom happenings, and concerns Implement weekly lesson plans that promote learning through play and movement while adapting activities to meet students' needs Monitor student behavior and classroom dynamics to ensure a safe, engaging, and well-managed environment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom setting Support and uphold preschool and gym policies and procedures Work collaboratively with teammates to create a fun, supportive workplace Qualifications We're looking for someone who: Has at least 2 years of teaching or childcare experience (preferred) — babysitting/nannying, volunteer church service, parenting, etc. all count! Is confident leading a classroom independently and managing the flow of daily activities Can supervise, mentor, and direct an assistant teacher while fostering a positive team environment Takes initiative and is comfortable making decisions to keep the classroom running smoothly Is organized and able to manage schedules, transitions, and multiple responsibilities simultaneously Is comfortable having open, professional conversations with parents and serving as the primary point of contact for classroom communication Is passionate about early childhood education and loves working with kids Brings a calm, patient, and upbeat attitude to the classroom Communicates effectively with children, parents, and coworkers Is reliable, coachable, and a true team player Bonus points if you have: A degree or coursework in Early Childhood or Elementary Education Previous experience teaching in a preschool or gymnastics setting Don't have all the qualifications?
