Daycare Teacher

If you enjoy working with school-age children and want to be part of a team that supports each other, this could be a great fit! What You Will Do This role helps support classrooms where help is needed most. During the summer, this position is full-time in our school-age program. During the school year, you will support before and after school care, and assist in other classrooms while school-age children are at school.

Your responsibilities will include:

Helping with classroom activities, games, projects, and daily routines Supporting children during meals, transitions, outdoor play, and group activities Supervising children during before and after school care Helping with summer field trips Keeping classrooms, buses, and activity areas clean, organized, and safe Providing positive guidance and support to children Communicating with team members and families as needed Driving children to and from school or scheduled field trips as needed

What We Need From You:

We need team members who are reliable, flexible, and enjoy working with children. Available Monday through Friday Willing to help in other classrooms Full time availability to work within our hours of 6:00 am to 6:30 pm as scheduled Willing to support where needed Show up on time and stay for your full shift Comfortable being active throughout the day and lifting up to 50 pounds At least 21 years old Valid driver's license/Clean driving record Willing to safely drive a large sized vehicle for preschool & school-age children Qualifications Patient, caring, and dependable Enjoys working with school-age children Able to stay organized and handle a busy environment Food Handler Permit First Aid and CPR, or willing to get certified Willing to complete required child care training At least 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record Pay and Benefits Starting at $14 per hour with room to grow Paid training Free meals during your shift Health insurance options Professional development opportunities Referral program About Us A to Z Building Blocks is a child care and preschool program focused on creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment for children and families.
