As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering positive relationships with both campers and staff. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for working with children and enjoy outdoor activities. Duties Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities. Plan and lead engaging activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games, and nature exploration. Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusion among campers. Assist in behavior management and conflict resolution among campers. Provide support in daily routines including meals, hygiene, and transitions between activities. Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean and organized camp environment. Participate in staff training sessions to enhance skills in childhood development, first aid, and emergency procedures. Requirements Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camps, or classroom environments is preferred. Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques. Background in sports coaching or related physical activities is a plus. Certification in First Aid/CPR is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively engage with campers of various ages. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when needed.
