Preschool Assistant Ivy League Learners Preschool Riverton, UT Job Details Part-time $15 - $17 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Parent collaboration Working with students Parent communication in school administration Classroom experience Lesson planning Teaching experience with young children Full Job Description Job Overview Ivy League Learners, located in Riverton is hiring for a pre-school teacher/teacher aid. Looking for someone who is patient, kind and LOVES kids. 16-26 hours per week. Jordan School District holidays off. This is ideal for a mom that wants to be home when the kids are out of school. Qualifications Experience working with young children and an understanding of early childhood education principles Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic knowledge of classroom management and child behavior strategies Ability to assist with lesson planning and activity preparation First aid and CPR certification is a plus High school diploma or equivalent; additional early childhood education training is a plus Check out our website and call/message Chanell May Cordova www.ivyleague-preschool.com. or myself, Deborah Spencer Kehl What you'll do Assist in the planning and implementation of lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, including literacy and math education. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive learning atmosphere and addressing behavioral challenges with effective strategies. Engage with children through hands-on activities, promoting early childhood education principles while fostering curiosity and creativity. Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum materials that enhance learning experiences, particularly for students with disabilities or those on the autism spectrum. Provide individualized support to students, ensuring they receive the attention they need to succeed both academically and socially. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring all materials are accessible and conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress, behavior, and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in special education, behavior management, and early childhood practices. Basic qualifications Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. Preferred qualifications Background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities. Familiarity with Montessori methods or preschool education practices. Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning strategies tailored for young learners. Experience in daycare settings or private school environments.
