Preschool Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and the ability to create a nurturing and safe environment. This role involves supporting lead teachers in implementing educational activities, managing classroom behavior, and providing care for children from infancy through preschool age. Responsibilities Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in a daycare setting. Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Engage with children through play, learning activities, and social interactions to foster their growth and development. Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive behavior among children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diaper changing, and ensuring their comfort. Collaborate with team members to create a supportive environment for all children, including those with disabilities or special needs. Qualifications Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones. Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. First aid certification is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage effectively with young children. Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and staff members effectively. A nurturing attitude combined with patience and creativity in teaching methods is essential.
