J. & Jeanné Wagner Jewish Community Center Are you an experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences for young children? Do you believe in nurturing the whole child while fostering a strong sense of community and culture? The Early Childhood Center at the I.J. & Jeanné Wagner Jewish Community Center (JCC) is seeking a dedicated Full Time Lead Educator to create a warm, inclusive, and enriching classroom environment for children ages 18 months-5 years. Our program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and grounded in developmentally appropriate practice. Position Summary The Lead Educator plans and implements a high-quality early childhood program using The Creative Curriculum, while thoughtfully integrating Jewish values, traditions, and holiday celebrations. This role ensures compliance with Utah State Licensing regulations and NAEYC standards and partners closely with families to support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Professional Responsibilities Curriculum & Instruction Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with The Creative Curriculum Integrate Jewish holidays, traditions, and cultural experiences into classroom learning Observe, assess, and document children's growth to guide individualized instruction Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that meets licensing standards Child Development & Learning Provide a balanced program of child-initiated and teacher-guided activities Use positive guidance strategies to promote emotional regulation and respectful relationships Family & Community Partnership Build trusting, collaborative relationships with families Communicate regularly regarding children's development and milestones Conduct family conferences at least twice annually Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred (Minimum requirement: CDA credential or equivalent) Experience in a licensed or accredited early childhood program Knowledge of The Creative Curriculum and NAEYC best practices Familiarity with Jewish culture, holidays, and traditions preferred Working Conditions Complete a minimum of 20 hours of professional development annually Contribute to maintaining NAEYC accreditation standards Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage indoors and outdoors Occasional evening or weekend availability for events or meetings School calendar includes closures for major Jewish holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Passover) and federal holidays Why Join Our Team?
