Infant - Two-year-old Floater Discovery Kids Centers Sandy, UT Job Details Full-time $15.00 - $16.50 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Hygiene practices (early childhood general education) CPR Certification Teamwork Classroom active supervision Diaper changing First Aid Certification Classroom organization for children Performing background checks Lesson planning Feeding for children Clean workspace maintenance Student safety monitoring Full Job Description Our Sandy location is seeking a dependable, flexible, and nurturing full-time Infant-Two-Year-Old Floater to support multiple classrooms and assist with coverage needs throughout the center. This position may also include temporarily leading the toddler classroom during a maternity leave coverage period. Requirements & Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood experience preferred Experience working with infants and toddlers is highly preferred Ability to work Monday-Friday on a full-time schedule Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with classroom assignments Comfortable filling in for teachers when scheduled off or absent Ability to manage classroom routines and maintain a safe learning environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with children throughout the day Must be comfortable with diaper changing, feeding, cleaning, and assisting with nap routines Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced childcare environment Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance Completion of required state childcare trainings and certifications CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire Must be willing to obtain and maintain a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within the required timeframe set by the center Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic Responsibilities May Include Assisting in infant and toddler classrooms as needed Covering teacher breaks, absences, and scheduled days off Supporting daily classroom activities and lesson plans Supervising children to ensure safety and engagement Maintaining cleanliness and organization of classrooms Communicating with staff and families professionally Helping maintain licensing standards and center policies Temporarily leading the toddler classroom during maternity leave coverage This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well with different age groups, and is comfortable stepping into different classroom roles as needed.

$15.00 - $16.50 per hour
