0 Alexandria, VA Job Details Part-time $18 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Professional development assistance Qualifications Early childhood education English Classroom Teaching Child Development Associate Certification Full Job Description Monarch Montessori School, nestled in the heart of Del Ray, Alexandria, is looking for an experienced assistant infant teacher to join our team of infant staff. The perfect candidate will compliment a well-functioning team, be open to additional training, punctual, dependable, have a professional demeanor and most of all, love caring for little ones! This is a part-time, immediate hire position. Hiring timeline is 1 to 2 weeks.
WORK SCHEDULE
We offer 2 shifts: 8:00am to 1:00pm, Monday-Friday 1:00pm to 5:30pm, Monday
  • Friday
  • Please note that these are the only 2 shifts we offer.
The schedule is non-negotiable.
Duties Include:
  • Diapering
  • Bottle-feeding, snuggling and facilitating naptimes
  • Sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces after each use
  • Singing silly songs
  • Working with teammates to ensure proper care of each infant and coverage in the classroom at all times.
  • Reading books
  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance, incidents, and milestones using the Brightwheel App
  • Communicating regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns
Experience :
  • Previous experience working with infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong command of English
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young infants.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents on sleeping, feeding and daily habits.
