Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a caring, dependable, and passionate Lead Infant Teacher (Nido) to join our Montessori community. The Lead Nido Teacher will create a calm, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports each child's development during the critical first years of life. This position plays an important role in helping children build independence, confidence, and a love of learning while maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment. Responsibilities Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and prepared Montessori Nido environment Provide attentive care and supervision for infants while supporting their individual developmental needs Implement age-appropriate Montessori activities that encourage movement, exploration, language development, and independence Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones Maintain consistent classroom routines, including feeding, diapering, sleeping, and transitions throughout the day Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's growth, development, and daily experiences Ensure compliance with all health, safety, licensing, and school policies Collaborate with classroom assistants and school leadership to provide a high-quality learning environment Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities Qualifications Experience working with infants or young children in a childcare, daycare, Montessori, or early childhood education setting Montessori experience preferred but not required Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Dependable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care and education CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Employee discount Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Pay From $45,000 per year Work Location In person
