Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our Montessori community. The Lead Toddler Teacher will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that supports children as they develop independence, confidence, social skills, and a love of learning. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and understands the unique developmental needs of toddlers. This role involves preparing a safe and stimulating classroom environment, building strong relationships with families, and guiding children through meaningful learning experiences rooted in Montessori principles. Duties Create and maintain a prepared Montessori classroom that encourages exploration, independence, and self-directed learning Support toddlers in developing practical life skills, language development, social-emotional growth, and early academic readiness Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones Establish consistent classroom routines that promote security, confidence, and independence Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, daily experiences, and classroom progress Ensure compliance with all health, safety, licensing, and school policies Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Collaborate with school leadership and classroom assistants to provide a positive learning experience for every child Participate in staff meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development opportunities Requirements Experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare, daycare, Montessori, or early childhood education setting Montessori experience preferred but not required Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Dependable, organized, and committed to providing high-quality care and education CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Pay From $45,000 per year Benefits Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Work Location In person Join our team and help create a joyful, supportive environment where toddlers can grow, explore, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
