Job Description

Summary Come join the Willowcreek Academy Staff and be a part of an award winning and accredited organization! Willowcreek Academy staff are high energy, well-educated individuals who absolutely LOVE what they do. We believe that the first 5 years are the most important and strive to give each child our best in education, care, and fun! We are currently interviewing for Lead Teachers. To thrive in our environment, applicants should love working with kids, be fun and enthusiastic, enjoy actively engaging children in play and activities, and work easily with others. Duties Staff are responsible for, but limited to: ensuring a positive and healthy environment for children to learn and grow fun, active, and interesting lesson plans. basic maintenance and cleanliness of classrooms Continual training and research of best practices Communicating effectively with parents and family members working with other staff to help promote teamwork and a positive atmosphere implement fun and interesting lessons based on curriculum guidelines Requirements All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma. Applicants must be able to read and speak proficient English in order to communicate with families. Lead Teacher applicants must meet the Department of Social Services Licensing Requirements for group lead which include: holds a graduate degree in a child-related field, an endorsement or bachelor's degree in a child-related field, 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college with a minimum of 12 credits in a child related field, a childcare certificate, or a Child Development Associate credential. All Lead Teacher applicants must have at least one year prior experience and assistants should have 6 months (preferred). Nice To Haves a minimum of 6 months program experience in a licensed childcare facility.
