Job Description
We are a small private Montessori school seeking a part-time Afternoon Support Staff. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with young children, have experience with Montessori, or be willing to learn, and would be able to make a long-term commitment to the classroom. The hours of the position are from 10:45am - 5:30pm , Monday-Friday. Responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to: Cover breaks for all staff Oversee the nap room Assist in the aftercare program Assist all lead teachers (Toddler, Primary, and Elementary) in any and all classroom tasks and duties, following the Montessori method Sweep, mop, sanitize, and other cleaning duties during and at the end of the school day Help facilitate a safe, nurturing environment for the children Uphold the standards of our Montessori school and maintain an enriching experience for our students Work as a team member within our community, ensuring the children's safety at all times Work with flexibility: moving from classroom to classroom or from task to task Help foster independence within the children's daily routine Gently enforce playground and classroom rules, speaking in an affirmative, kind tone Treat the children and all of our community members with respect, grace, and kindness Please submit a resume with relevant work experience that includes at least three professional references.
