Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Your role is vital in creating a positive learning atmosphere where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a passion for early childhood development to our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, physical education using the HighScope Curriculum. Manage daily classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for preschool age children. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being among students. Collaborate with families to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring early intervention services. Assess children's progress through observations and standardized testing; document developmental milestones and communicate findings with parents and team members. Supervise classroom assistants and volunteers to maintain effective classroom management and ensure high-quality childcare and learning. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum development, childcare best practices, and innovative teaching techniques such as HighScope and other educational philosophies. Experience A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other related field OR Associate's Degree with 2 years professional experience in child care, early childhood education or related field OR CDA with 5 years professional experience in child care, early childhood education, or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Experience designing curriculum that incorporates literacy education, math skills, physical activities, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with classroom management tools and methods for maintaining an organized learning environment. Exposure to special education practices or working with children requiring additional support is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners. Pay:
$24.50 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
