Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support early childhood education standards. Create a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behavior management and supports childhood development milestones. Engage with children through hands-on activities, fostering social-emotional growth and encouraging curiosity. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs related to special education or early intervention strategies. Maintain classroom organization, manage daily routines, and ensure safety protocols are consistently followed to support childcare best practices. Assess student progress using standardized testing methods when applicable, and document observations to inform future lesson planning and individualized support. Support classroom management by implementing behavior management techniques that promote respectful interactions and a positive learning environment. Skills Strong background in early childhood education with experience in preschool settings or daycare environments. Proficiency in curriculum development tailored for toddlers and preschool-aged children. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, and early intervention techniques. Experience with classroom management strategies that foster a nurturing environment conducive to learning. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists. Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and Montessori approaches. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing when necessary to monitor progress.
