Job Description

Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education Mrs. Bee's Learning Academy is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our growing team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences, maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment, and providing leadership and support to Teacher Assistants while fostering the growth and development of every child in their care. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, organized professional, and positive role model who is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education. Position Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Create and maintain a positive, safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. Lead daily classroom operations, including learning activities, transitions, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods. Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with Teacher Assistants and support staff. Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and milestones. Maintain accurate classroom records, attendance, incident reports, and child assessments as required. Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding children's progress, development, and classroom activities. Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies. Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and learning materials. Support children in developing positive behaviors, problem-solving skills, and social-emotional growth. Participate in staff meetings, professional development training, and center events. Foster strong relationships with children, families, coworkers, and the community. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education setting preferred. Knowledge of child development, classroom management, and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage a classroom while maintaining a positive learning environment. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Must pass all required state and federal background screenings. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
