Job Description

Teacher Assistant - Early Childhood Education Mrs. Bee's Learning Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Teacher Assistant to join our dedicated team of early childhood educators. This position plays a vital role in supporting classroom instruction, fostering positive child development, and creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for young children. Position Responsibilities Support Lead Teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum, lesson plans, and educational activities. Supervise and actively engage with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meal times, and transitions throughout the day. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Sanitize toys, equipment, and learning materials in accordance with health and safety standards. Observe and assist in documenting children's developmental progress, behaviors, and milestones. Provide support with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other daily care routines as needed. Encourage positive social, emotional, and cognitive development through meaningful interactions with children. Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members. Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Coursework or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Previous experience working with young children in a childcare center, preschool, daycare, or similar setting is preferred. Understanding of child development principles and early childhood best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, nurturing, dependable, and professional demeanor. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
