The Position The Co-Teacher position supports the daily flow of the classroom, ensuring safety during outdoor exploration and assisting with sensory-rich play.

Role:

Assist in classroom management, facilitate outdoor nature walks, and support the Head Teacher in maintaining a calm, screen-free environment. Necessary Requirements (Virginia State Standards 2026) To ensure the safety and excellence of our program, all candidates must meet the following Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) requirements:

Background Clearance:

Must pass a comprehensive fingerprint-based national criminal history record check and a Virginia Child Protective Services (CPS) central registry search.

Health Report:

A signed statement from a physician or PA certifying you are free from any disability that would prevent you from caring for children.

Certifications:

Must hold (or be willing to obtain immediately) Current CPR and First Aid Certification specifically for infants and children.
