Job Description

Job Summary:
The Daycare Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for children while supporting their development through play-based learning and age-appropriate activities. The ideal candidate will foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative, high-quality childcare program.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Assist in planning and implementing daily activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Support routines including mealtime, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions. Interact with children in a positive and respectful manner, encouraging independence and appropriate behavior. Observe and document children's development; communicate observations with the Lead Teacher and/or Director. Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Build strong, respectful relationships with families and communicate effectively regarding their child's day. Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety standards. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required training.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred. Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare setting preferred. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with children, families, and coworkers. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Must pass background checks and meet health screening requirements.

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
