Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher for a part-time position to inspire and nurture young learners in an engaging educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, inclusive classroom where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your expertise will support early childhood development through innovative lesson planning, curriculum development, and personalized attention to each child's needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curricula tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among preschool-aged children. Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, organization, and an engaging space conducive to learning and exploration. Collaborate with colleagues and families to support individual learning plans, especially for children requiring special education or early intervention services. Utilize behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and social skills among students. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instruction. Maintain detailed documentation of lesson plans, student progress, and classroom activities in compliance with childcare regulations. Skills Extensive experience in early childhood education with a focus on preschool or daycare settings. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies. Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention techniques, and behavior management approaches. Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and those requiring additional support. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and positively. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is a plus. Proficiency in using assessment tools such as standardized testing to evaluate student growth. Experience with classroom experience involving literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and childcare routines.
