Job Description

Overview Join our team as an Afternoon Closer, where your energy and dedication will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during the crucial afternoon hours. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition from daytime activities to closing procedures, maintaining a warm and organized space that promotes growth and learning. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to a supportive atmosphere that encourages children's development and fosters strong relationships with families. Responsibilities Safely supervise children during the late afternoon hours, ensuring their well-being and engagement in age-appropriate activities Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a calm, organized environment conducive to learning and play Assist with snack time, bathroom routines, and transition activities to prepare children for departure or evening routines Complete end-of-day cleaning, organizing supplies, and preparing materials for the next day's activities Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress or any concerns that arise during the shift Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure a secure environment for all children Support team members in maintaining compliance with early childhood education standards and licensing requirements Skills Experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement strategies Familiarity with safety procedures including first aid and emergency response protocols Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with parents Experience in childcare roles such as babysitting, nannying, or classroom teaching is highly valued Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a lively and supportive environment Join us as an Afternoon Closer and be part of a dedicated team committed to nurturing young minds while creating a safe, joyful space for children to thrive!
