In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes early childhood development and supports diverse learning needs. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a safe space where children can explore, learn, and grow with confidence. Child Care Staff are responsible for the direct guidance, supervision, and care of residents assigned to them at Nation of Resilient Souls LLC. In accordance with 12VAC35-46-380, each childcare worker shall be responsible for guidance and supervision of the children to whom the childcare worker is assigned. Child Care Staff provide continuous supervision, ensure resident safety, support daily living activities, and assist with behavioral and emotional needs within a structured residential environment. Duties Provides continuous, active supervision of residents during assigned shifts Ensures resident safety, structure, and adherence to program rules and expectations Maintains line-of-sight and line-of-sound supervision as required based on resident needs, safety plans, and program structure Assists residents with daily routines including hygiene, meals, chores, recreation, and bedtime Supports participation in educational, therapeutic, and recreational activities Reinforces positive behavior and implements behavior support strategies Responds appropriately to behavioral incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns Implements DBHDS-approved crisis intervention techniques, including TOVA, as trained Immediately reports incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to supervisory staff• Completes required shift logs, incident reports, and documentation accurately and timely Communicates resident observations and concerns to the Child Care Supervisor and Program Director Qualifications A baccalaureate degree in human services; OR An associate's degree and three months of experience working with children; OR A high school diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.) certificate and six months of experience working with children

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
