Lead Teacher, Preschool (4 year old class

Looking to hire a full time 4 year old teacher to begin with our summer program and continue through the 2023-2024 school year (and possibly beyond!). We want someone who is loving, patient, fun, energetic, creative....and SERIOUS about early childhood development. The ideal candidate will be competent in preparing students to THRIVE when they transition to kindergarten. Lead teachers are expected to assess children frequently and create individualized small-group plans to help students reach important milestones and objectives. The lead teacher is responsible for the safety, nurturing, and education of a group of children. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with an assistant to create dynamic experiences for the children and families. Together both teachers implement prepared lesson plans, engage, and manage the students as you follow the daily schedule. Teachers also evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment and work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service. Our early childhood teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes as well as keeping their classroom organized and clean.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications - vary, depending on classroom: Education - all candidates must have or be willing to obtain •one•of the following: BA in Early Childhood Education, or related field AA in Early Childhood Education, or related field Child Development Associate (CDA) (or at least 12 college credits in Education) Be currently enrolled in either a CDA or Associate's Degree program CPR/First-aid certification All candidates must also have the following: Experience working with young children; school-setting experience is preferred. Comfort with technology for lesson planning and parent communication. Mastery of the English language, as spoken and written, to permit effective communication with parents.
