This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a seasoned educator with proven experience working specifically with toddlers and two-year-olds in a licensed childcare setting. The ideal candidate understands the unique developmental needs of this age group and can successfully manage classroom routines, behaviors, transitions, potty training, parent communication, and curriculum implementation. Reliability is critical. We are seeking educators who take pride in their attendance, arrive on time, and understand the importance of consistency for young children. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of direct classroom experience working specifically with toddlers and/or two-year-olds in a licensed childcare center Experience independently leading a toddler or two-year-old classroom Strong classroom management skills Experience implementing lesson plans and age-appropriate activities Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Current CPR and First Aid Certification preferred CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials preferred Ability to pass all required background checks and screening requirements What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has substantial experience working with toddlers and two-year-olds Possesses a college degree in Early Childhood Education or a CDA Certification Understands how to establish structure, routines, and expectations Can effectively manage challenging behaviors in a positive and developmentally appropriate manner Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality Is dependable and consistent Works well with families and communicates professionally Takes initiative and requires minimal supervision Has a genuine passion for helping young children learn and grow Responsibilities Lead a classroom of toddlers and/or two-year-olds Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment Implement lesson plans and daily learning activities Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Maintain classroom schedules, routines, and transitions Complete daily observations and required documentation Communicate effectively with families regarding children's progress and needs Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and center policies Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers to provide high-quality care and education Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry children up to 35 pounds Sit, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day Maintain active supervision of children at all times Work in a fast-paced classroom environment Schedule Monday through Friday No weekends Full-Time Position Important Note This position requires dependable attendance and punctuality. Consistent staffing is essential to maintaining quality care and classroom stability for our children. Applicants should be prepared to maintain a regular work schedule and demonstrate a strong history of reliability. This classroom requires active engagement, classroom management, diapering, potty training support, behavior guidance, parent communication, lesson implementation, and the ability to maintain structure throughout the day.
