Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Preschool Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. As a Preschool Floater, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for young learners by providing flexible classroom support across various preschool settings. Your energetic approach and strong communication skills will help foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in early childhood education while making a meaningful difference in children's lives. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lesson implementation, and classroom management to promote an engaging learning environment. Support children's development through individualized attention, encouraging social skills, literacy, math, and other foundational concepts. Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs such as autism or disabilities. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment following health and safety guidelines. Collaborate with staff on curriculum development and lesson planning that aligns with educational standards like Montessori or other pedagogical approaches. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a positive and supportive atmosphere. Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, behavior management, special education strategies, and inclusive practices. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and behavior management techniques. Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings; private school experience is a plus. Familiarity with curriculum development. Excellent communication skills to engage children positively and collaborate with colleagues and families. Classroom management skills that foster a respectful and productive learning environment.
