This is a term position to cover a planned teacher absence through December 2026. At the conclusion of this term, the candidate is welcome to stay on as a substitute and to be considered for any future vacancies. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or associate's degree or a credential in Early Childhood Education, and possess a passion for teaching young children. Candidates should have experience teaching, preferably in a preschool setting. A Lead Teacher at Epiphany Lutheran Nursery School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally a Lead Teacher is responsible to work in conjunction with the entire faculty. Our lead teachers are responsible for all lesson planning and are compensated for their planning time. We do not use a store bought curriculum and are a play-based center. Schedule will be Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. during the school year. Potential for additional hours as early as 8am and as late as 2:30pm in our before and after school programs exists. Ability to work some days in these programs is a plus.
