$20-$22 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) About Happy Hive Childcare Happy Hive Childcare is a warm, nurturing, and family-oriented home daycare dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and loving environment for young children. Position Summary We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Childcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children, enjoys being part of a close-knit environment, and is committed to helping children learn, grow, and thrive. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities Assist with daily routines, including meals, snacks, diapering, and toileting Support learning activities, crafts, outdoor play, and circle time Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment Help monitor children's behavior and developmental progress Communicate professionally with parents and team members Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and daily operations Qualifications Previous experience working with children preferred High school diploma or equivalent CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass all required background checks Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in children's activities Preferred Qualifications Experience in a daycare, preschool, nanny, or early childhood setting CDA credential or Early Childhood Education coursework Knowledge of child development and positive guidance techniques Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply What We Offer Competitive pay Paid holidays Supportive and positive work environment Opportunities for professional growth and training Flexible scheduling options The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families
