Aug 31, 2026 Job Description The Pre-Kindergarten Teacher maintains responsibility for creating a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment that supports the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and early academic development of young children. The teacher introduces foundational skills through play-based, developmentally appropriate practices while fostering a love of learning and an awareness of God's presence in daily life. Key Responsibilities Faith Formation & Catholic Identity Model Catholic values through words and actions Introduce age-appropriate concepts of God's love, kindness, and respect for others Lead simple daily prayers and participate in school faith activities Foster a caring classroom community rooted in Christian values Upholding and State Regulations as set forth by the CDD for all CBCCPP Instruction & Curriculum Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based lessons Support early learning in language, literacy, math readiness, science exploration, and social studies Incorporate music, movement, art, and hands-on activities into daily instruction Promote curiosity, creativity, and exploration Classroom Environment & Management Create a structured, safe, and engaging classroom environment Establish consistent routines and clear expectations Use positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional development Ensure a clean, organized, and child-centered learning space Student Development Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth Encourage independence, cooperation, and problem-solving Observe and respond to individual developmental needs Assessment & Communication Monitor developmental progress through observation and informal assessments Maintain records of student growth and development Communicate regularly with parents/guardians through conferences, updates, and daily communication Communication & Collaboration Partner with parents as primary educators of their children Collaborate with teaching assistants, specialists, and school staff Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events Professional Responsibilities Uphold the mission and philosophy of the Catholic school Maintain professionalism consistent with Catholic values Engage in ongoing professional and faith development Follow all school policies, licensing requirements, and safety regulationsPosition Type:
