- 2026-2027-Wells Village School is seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic Pre-K classroom teacher to join our school community beginning the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- VT teaching license in Early Childhood required. Special Ed-Early Ed highly desirable.
- Experience with teaching in an early childhood program, knowledgeable of child development ages 3 to 6.
- Experience with using TS GOLD as a formative assessment and using an outcome based curriculum such as Creative Curriculum.
- Knowledge of the Vermont childcare regulations and licensing requirements to maintain program compliance.
- Commitment to establishing a developmentally appropriate, stimulating, and emergent curriculum following the philosophy and guidelines of NAEYC.
- Establish a child directed, play-based early learning program.
- Ability to implement Special Ed services for eligible PreK students.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities and written and oral communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiar with the Vermont Early Learning Standards.
- A love for teaching children with a variety of strengths and challenges.
- Skills in documentation and record keeping.
- Familiar with quality accreditation standards (STARS and NAEYC) and comfortable using ECCERS and /or CLASS for continual feedback to guide teaching practices.
- Experience in or knowledge of a Professional Learning Community.
- Knowledge of proficiency based reporting.
- Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols.
- Knowledge of best practices to support student social emotional needs, including de-escalation, regulation, restorative and proactive approaches.
- Evidence of strong connection with students and families.
- The belief that educators ensure learning at a high level for every child.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
