Job Description

Job Overview Cozy Bears Early Learning is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Teacher to join our childcare team in Ferndale. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and supporting children as they learn, play, and grow. The teacher will help with daily routines, classroom activities, supervision, and maintaining a positive childcare environment. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences. Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and daily interactions. Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Follow all DCYF licensing regulations, health, and safety requirements. Communicate professionally with families and team members. Assist with meal, snack, restroom, and transition routines. Observe and document children's progress and behaviors as needed. Support a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Must be 18 years or older High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a DCYF background check Current Food Handler's Permit Negative TB Test prior to first day CPR/First Aid Certification STARS Basics Training and other required childcare certifications (may be completed within 90 days of hire)Join us in creating a joyful environment where children thrive! Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
