Job Description
Busy Kids Childcare and Playschool is looking for a caring, dependable Early Childhood Teacher to join our small, well-established program serving older infants through preschool. For more than 30 years, Busy Kids has provided a warm, nurturing environment where children learn through play, build friendships, and feel like part of a caring community. We believe early childhood education is meaningful work, and we're looking for someone who shares that passion. At Busy Kids, our teachers spend their day actively engaged with children—not sitting on the sidelines. Whether we're reading stories, building forts, exploring outdoors, creating art, singing songs, or simply sharing conversations, we believe the best learning happens through meaningful interactions and relationships. We are looking for a teacher who enjoys being present, hands-on, and fully involved in the joy of childhood. Responsibilities Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play. Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth. Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Follow Washington State DCYF licensing regulations and program policies. Work as part of a team to maintain a positive, organized classroom environment. The Right Person Will Be Warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with young children. Reliable and dependable, understanding that children thrive with consistent caregivers. Present, engaged, and focused on the children throughout the day. Qualifications Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children preferred. Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits are preferred, or a willingness to obtain them. We are happy to support your professional growth. Strong communication skills and a dependable work ethic. Ability to meet Washington State DCYF licensing requirements.
