We are seeking enthusiastic Partial Outdoor Preschool Teachers who are ready to inspire and engage children in a dynamic learning environment. In this role, you will create a vibrant, nature-based curriculum that fosters curiosity and development in preschool-aged children. Your expertise in early childhood education will help shape their foundational skills while promoting a love for learning through play and exploration. Our philosophy is based upon both the Reggio-Emilia and Forest School approach. Our belief is that children are competent individuals who can construct their own meaning of their experiences. The teacher's role is not to provide all the correct answers, but rather to provide a setting for discovery and learning. Our approach is hands-on and multi-sensory. We recognize that children have a natural curiosity and a predisposition to enjoy both the expected and unexpected. Children engage in active exploration and investigation to make sense of their world. This happens through trial and error, asking questions, taking risks and challenging themselves. We strive to fuel children's investigative impulses by encouraging discovery, promoting questioning, challenging ideas, and assisting the children in formulating connections to experiences.

Required Qualifications:

Must be 18 years old. Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma / GED Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills Model positive behavior management and engagement Must be ok being outside in ALL weather and ALL seasons Ability to walk and stand 90% of the work day, and carry/lift up to 50lbs Current certification in hands-on CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, Food Handler Card, MMR vaccination record(s) or exemption, and a negative TB test or willing to obtain upon employment. Must be able to pass a DCYF criminal background check

Desired Qualifications:

1 to 2+ years of experience in child-care preferred / all positions are experience & education based

Age Groups:

Toddler/Preschool Valid Driver's License | ability to occasionally operate a 15 passenger van Knowledge/Experience with: Potty training ; diaper changing ; standing diaper changing Some college preferred Certified Teacher, Early Childhood Education(ECE), Child Development Associate (CDA) or Early Child Development Coursework ECE Certifications Required by 2026 (need to be enrolled and active plan) ; Lead Teachers Initial Certificate (12 credits) Short Certificate (8 credits) Assistant Teachers Initial Certificate (12 credits)
