The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and a strong understanding of child development principles. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers, implementing educational activities, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families. The Child Care Teacher will play a crucial role in supporting children's growth in various areas, including literacy, math, and social skills. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning in areas such as literacy, math, and behavior management. Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Utilize Montessori principles to guide children's learning experiences and foster independence. Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Observe and assess children's development to tailor activities to meet individual needs. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational program and share best practices. Support children with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing additional resources as necessary. Requirements Proven experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting. Strong knowledge of toddler care principles and child development theories. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Experience in literacy education and math instruction is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members. Knowledge of Montessori methods is a plus but not required. A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications will be considered.
