Part-time Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and patient teacher that loves children and can provide a nurturing, faith-based, and fun educational experience for our 4-year-olds. The ideal candidate will have experience with children, a strong commitment to Christian values, and the ability to create a loving and supportive classroom environment where kids can grow spiritually, academically, and emotionally. Early Childhood or Teacher Certifications desired.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that integrate Christian principles and values. Using our large variety of resources and materials, design activities that foster spiritual, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Teaching and Supervision:
Lead daily classroom activities, including learning stations, circle time, art, read-alouds, and play. Provide individualized attention and support to each child's learning needs. Ensure a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning and exploration.
Spiritual Guidance:
Integrate biblical teachings and stories into daily lessons and activities. Foster a love for God and Jesus through prayer, songs, and age-appropriate discussions.
Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
Classroom Management and Environment:
Manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions among children. Implement discipline strategies consistent with Christian values and principles. Create a warm, engaging classroom environment through interactive learning centers, creative bulletin boards, and hands-on activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or STARS certification (preferred but not required). Previous experience working with preschool-aged children Passion for nurturing young children and helping them grow in their faith. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.

This position typically operates during regular school hours of 8:30-2:00, Monday-Thursday, with occasional later afternoons for special event preparation. The teacher will work primarily indoors in a classroom setting designed for preschool children.
