We are currently seeking a passionate, energetic, and dependable Preschool Teacher to join our Marysville team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality early childhood education while building strong relationships with children, families, and fellow educators. Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities. Support children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. Conduct daily learning activities including literacy, math, science, art, music, and sensory exploration. Observe and document children's growth and developmental milestones. Maintain accurate classroom records and assessments. Communicate effectively and professionally with families. Follow all Washington State licensing regulations and center policies. Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards. Maintain licensing standards and support daily classroom needs, including meals and toileting/diapering support as needed. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, and field trips. Complete required professional development and maintain MERIT requirements. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Required Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or GED. Minimum two (2) years of teaching experience with preschool-age children preferred. Ability to pass a Washington State background check. Must be registered in MERIT or willing to complete MERIT registration. Current CPR & First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain before start date. Completion of Child Care Basics (STARS) training or willingness to obtain. Current TB test, MMR documentation, Bloodborne Pathogens training, and Food Handler Permit as required by state regulations. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to confidently lead a classroom, support positive child behavior, and maintain consistent routines. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day. Strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, professionalism, and organization skills. Passion for early childhood education and child development. Preferred Early Childhood Education (ECE) Initial Certificate or higher. CDA, AA, or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field. Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool. Knowledge of Washington State licensing regulations. Experience using positive behavior guidance techniques. ECE Initial Certificate or willingness to obtain in accordance with Washington State licensing requirements.
