The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development, with experience working with children in various educational settings. This role involves designing age-appropriate lesson plans, supporting children's social and emotional growth, and collaborating with families to promote overall child welfare. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early learners' lives while contributing to their foundational education. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula that support early childhood education standards. Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children from young infants to preschool age. Support children's behavioral management through positive reinforcement strategies, Love and Logic and individualized attention. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing requirements. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including child welfare policies and classroom safety protocols. Engage in ongoing professional development the Madrona Way, including knowledge on approaches like Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia and Love and Logic. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques. Experience with curriculum development across preschool, daycare, or private school settings. Proficiency in classroom management and behavior management strategies. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori methods if applicable. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Utilizing observation and assessment tools for early learners. Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is preferred. Knowledge of childcare regulations, child welfare practices, and early childhood education standards. Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles and developmental levels.
Pay:
$18.88 - $25.00 per hour
