In this role, you will support our early childhood education team by providing attentive care, engaging activities, and a safe environment during afternoon and evening hours. You will engage with families, and be the closer. Your enthusiasm will help foster a nurturing space that promotes growth, learning, and joy for children in our care. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with children during afternoon and evening hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist with classroom activities that promote childhood development, including play-based learning and structured educational exercises Support children with their daily routines such as snack time, bathroom breaks, diapering, and nap schedules Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and social skills among children Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety standards Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to plan age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education goals Communicate with families Respond promptly to children's needs, providing comfort and reassurance as necessary Ensure safe practices with pickup and closing of the facility Requirements Must be 18+ Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain upon hire if not already certified TB/MMR Test Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities Ability to multi-task with closing procedures and still maintain safety for children pickup and communicating with families. Ability to work flexible hours during afternoons and evenings to support program needs Ability to work more hours when staff call out Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children Join us in shaping bright futures!
