We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational knowledge in children from infancy through preschool age. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development and learning. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions to ensure comfort and safety. Engage children in play-based learning activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and cognitive growth. Maintain a safe classroom environment by supervising children at all times and adhering to safety protocols including pediatric first aid and mandated reporting laws. Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies. Collaborate with team members to observe and document each child's progress, special needs, or behavioral concerns related to working with individuals with disabilities or special education requirements. Support inclusive practices for children with diverse backgrounds and developmental needs, including toddler care and infant care when necessary. Skills Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development, and child development instruction. Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Certification or training in first aid (including pediatric first aid) and mandated reporting laws. Ability to work effectively with children of various ages including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, parents, and specialists in special education or working with students with disabilities. Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for nurturing children's growth in a caring environment.
