Overview:
Classroom Teachers collaborate on the supervision of daily operations of the classroom in compliance with DCYF Licensing Requirements, Early Achievers Operating Guidelines, and Trettin Early Learning Center Board Policies. They will work with other team members to provide a warm nurturing, safe, and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged and individuality is respected. This position offers a wonderful opportunity for teachers who are newer to the field to gain classroom experience.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent
  • Currently working toward or willing to obtain an initial stackable certificate.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. English preferred.
  • The physical ability to access all areas of the program facility and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass DCYF Criminal Background Check.
  • Meet STARS minimum requirements and have a current MERIT account.
  • First Aid/CPR/Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications at hire or within 90 days of hire.
  • Proof of negative TB Test within the past 12 months/prior to starting work.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to:
  • Must have full availability between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm Monday - Friday, exact schedule will be based on program needs.
  • Establishes positive relationships and clear communications with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other building staff. Please note, as a support Teacher you will work in all classrooms as needed.
  • Act as a part of a cohesive, collaborative team committed to the healthy development of the children, each other, and the Program.
  • Contribute to supervision of daily operations of the classroom in compliance with DCYF Licensing Requirements, Early Achievers Operating Guidelines, and Center Board Policies.
  • Work successfully independently and in collaboration with the classroom team.
  • Contributes to a positive classroom learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure that individualized instruction is implemented for all children.
  • Maintain an environment of appropriate and positive discipline.
  • Maintain staffing ratios following licensing requirements, program needs, and Board policies.
  • Successfully account for all children assigned to your classroom at all times.
  • Follow posted procedures in the classroom to ensure best health and safety practices.
  • Attend Staff meetings and Professional Development
  • Communicate regularly with Admin about concerns or other issues in the Programs.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teams to find optimal ways of completing needed tasks.
  • Relate joyfully and sensitively to children.
  • Starting wage with AA in ECE starts at $22.
35, with BA in ECE starts at $23.10, both increase further based on years of experience. Please Complete the following
