As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in designing engaging curricula, fostering inclusive classroom communities, and supporting students with diverse needs. Your energetic approach will motivate both students and staff, ensuring every child receives the personalized attention they deserve to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, implement innovative teaching strategies, and make a meaningful difference in children's lives. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs, including those with disabilities or developmental delays. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports students with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other special needs. Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support students' communication skills, behavioral health, and developmental progress. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress through standardized testing, formative evaluations, and IEP (Individualized Education Program) reviews to tailor instruction effectively. Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a safe, nurturing space that encourages curiosity and active learning for children from preschool through early childhood education stages. Integrate educational technology tools to enhance literacy education, math skills, and overall curriculum delivery. Mentor and support fellow teachers and teaching assistants by sharing best practices in special education law, behavior management techniques, and lesson planning strategies. Skills Proven experience in classroom management with a focus on behavior management for students with special needs. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education law. Expertise in working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, therapists, and colleagues. Ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math instruction, and educational technology integration. Familiarity with IEP development and implementation to support personalized learning goals. Experience in preschool or private school settings; Montessori or early childhood education background is highly desirable.
