Here at Willow Creek we serve children from infant through preschool age. Under the direction of our Lead Teachers, our classrooms use the RIE (Infant) and Montessori philosophies as a guide to create an intentional, warm, and respectful care and learning environment for young children. Your role will be to step into different classrooms from Infant to preschool age to offer support, depending on where the need is that day. In each room you will work with a team of teachers to help foster their intentional approach. The schedule for this position would be 8am-4pm with an unpaid break. We provide a comprehensive benefits package; a subsidized bus pass; a 401k match after 1 year; and several paid holidays a year, including but not limited to a week off in the Spring, Summer, and Winter.
Responsibilities include:
Intentional interactions with children, coworkers, and families. Ability to work with children from Infant through Preschool age. Portioning and serving meals. Observing child interactions Communicating with coworkers throughout the day. Putting children down for naps. Carry out all preparation and clean up responsibilities associated with role. Able to respond to things quickly and calmly. Flexibility to switch between various tasks and/or classrooms throughout the day.
Qualifications:
Ability to get up and down off the floor repeatedly throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds off the floor. High School diploma required. One or more years' classroom experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Experience with young children preferred. Infant/Child & Adult CPR and First Aid (Need within 30 days and we can help with this.) Food Worker Card (completed within 7 days of start date) 30 hour Child Care Basics (completed within 90 days of hire) DCYF Portable Background check (started prior to start date) Infant Safe Sleep training. (completed prior to start date) TB test (completed prior to start date) Proof of MMR vaccine (needed before start)
