My World Mandarin Nature School About Us My World Mandarin Nature School is a unique Mandarin immersion early childhood program built around outdoor education, child-led learning, and a deep respect for how children naturally develop. Our work goes beyond traditional education — we are building a different model of what early childhood education can look like when adults truly understand children. As we prepare for the opening of our new licensed preschool campus, we are seeking a strong leader to join our management team in a hybrid role that combines classroom leadership with operational supervision. About the Role This is a leadership position for an experienced educator who is equally comfortable working directly with children while also supporting team management and daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, but is also ready to take on greater responsibility in leadership, mentoring, and helping maintain overall program quality. Key Responsibilities Classroom Leadership (approximately 50%) Lead preschool classroom instruction in a full Mandarin immersion environment Create a calm, engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment Guide children's social-emotional development through respectful and thoughtful interactions Model high-quality teaching practices for other team members Supervision & Team Leadership (approximately 50%) Support daily operations and ensure smooth program execution Supervise and mentor teaching staff Help onboard and train new team members Maintain consistency in classroom quality, routines, and expectations across the program Support parent communication and family onboarding when needed Assist with staffing coordination and day-to-day problem solving Help ensure compliance with licensing and operational requirements Qualifications Native or near-native Mandarin Chinese required Experience working in early childhood education required Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience strongly preferred Strong judgment, initiative, and ability to solve problems independently Warm, calm, confident presence with both children and adults Ability to mentor other teachers and uphold high program standards Comfortable balancing direct teaching with leadership responsibilities What We Are Looking For We are not simply looking for a teacher.
