Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Pre-School Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging educational environment. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and support the holistic development of children in early childhood education settings. Your passion for working with children and expertise in preschool teaching will help create a positive foundation for lifelong learning. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds while collaborating with a dynamic team committed to excellence in early childhood development. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Lead classroom activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of preschool-aged children. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies. Support children with special education needs and participate in early intervention programs to ensure inclusive learning experiences. Oversee daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and toddler care to ensure safety and comfort. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviors. Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about child welfare and developmental milestones. Create timely lesson plans, follow a schedule and manage ordering supplies for your class. Experience Proven classroom management experience within early childhood education or preschool settings. Must follow/learn WA state DCYF guideline Develop curriculum based on children's needs. Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special accomodations. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Prior experience in daycare or private school environments is great. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in pre-school care is essential for success in this role. Pay:
$17.36 - $20.00 per hour
