We are passionate about creating meaningful relationships with children and families while fostering a positive, supportive workplace culture rooted in faith, love, and service. We are seeking a Float Teacher who is flexible, confident, organized, and passionate about early childhood education. This unique role involves floating between multiple classrooms, supporting both students and staff across our center while helping maintain smooth daily operations. Our Float Teachers build intentional connections with children ages 0-12 years , providing consistent support, encouragement, and care across every age group. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts quickly to changing needs, and has a heart for making a meaningful impact in the lives of children. This position requires strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, and a passion for serving others through Christ-centered care and education. Duties & Responsibilities Float between multiple classrooms as needed to provide support and maintain classroom continuity Build intentional, meaningful relationships with children across all age groups (infants through school-age) Support lead teachers and classroom staff in daily routines, transitions, and activities Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations ( WAC/DCYF ) and center policies Help maintain safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environments Provide positive guidance and behavioral support using developmentally appropriate practices Assist with implementing lesson plans, activities, and daily schedules Maintain active supervision and ensure children's safety at all times Foster strong, respectful relationships with families and team members Support classroom documentation including attendance, incident reports, and other required records Model professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, and a strong work ethic Serve as a positive example of Christ-like love, patience, and compassion in daily interactions Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent ( required ) ECE Initial Certificate or higher ( preferred or willingness to obtain) Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early learning setting Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices Ability to quickly adapt to different classrooms, age groups, and routines Strong classroom management, supervision, and communication skills Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements CPR/First Aid certified ( or willingness to obtain ) Who You Are Flexible and adaptable in changing environments Dependable, organized, and proactive A strong team player who supports others well Passionate about impacting the lives of children and families Comfortable working with children ages 0-12 Committed to creating a loving, safe, faith-centered environment Someone who leads with patience, kindness, and a heart for ministry If you are passionate about serving children, supporting classrooms, and making a lasting difference through faith and education, we would love to have you join our team.
