Job Description

Preschool Teacher - Christian Early Learning Center Our Christian faith-based early learning center is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We believe each child is uniquely created with purpose, and we are committed to fostering meaningful relationships with children and families while providing high-quality early education rooted in faith, love, and service. We are seeking a passionate, organized, and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining a structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports children in preparing for future academic success. Preschool Teachers play a vital role in helping children build foundational skills in early literacy, social-emotional development, independence, problem-solving, and kindergarten readiness. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, excellent communicator, and passionate educator who is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences and positively impacting the lives of young children. Duties & Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning activities Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment that promotes exploration and growth Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development Foster kindergarten readiness through intentional teaching in literacy, math, fine motor, and social-emotional skills Maintain active supervision and ensure child safety at all times Provide positive guidance and behavior support using age-appropriate strategies Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families Communicate regularly with families regarding child progress, milestones, and classroom updates Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and readiness each day Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations ( WAC/DCYF ) and center policies Complete required documentation including attendance, assessments, incident reports, and daily records Collaborate effectively with co-teachers, support staff, and leadership Model professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, and strong work ethic Demonstrate Christ-like love, patience, grace, and servant leadership in daily interactions Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent ( required ) ECE Initial Certificate or higher ( preferred or willingness to obtain) Previous experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting Strong understanding of child development and preschool learning milestones Experience with classroom management and structured routines Ability to plan engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements CPR/First Aid certified ( or willingness to obtain ) Who You Are Passionate about early childhood education and school readiness Patient, nurturing, and consistent Organized and confident in classroom leadership Strong communicator and collaborative team member Creative, engaging, and intentional in teaching Committed to providing a safe, loving, faith-centered environment Someone with a heart for children, families, and ministry If you are passionate about shaping young minds, building strong foundations for lifelong learning, and serving children through faith-centered education, we would love to welcome you to our team.
Pay:
$18.50 - $23.00 per hour
