Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Collaborative Pre-K Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. Your expertise will help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning, ensuring children are engaged, confident, and prepared for future educational success. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education best practices, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that support children's social-emotional growth. Deliver age-appropriate lessons tailored to the developmental needs of preschool-aged children, integrating concepts of childhood development and early intervention. Support children's learning through individualized instruction, tutoring, and hands-on activities that promote curiosity and exploration. Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress using standardized testing methods and ongoing assessments to inform instruction. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom activities, and implementing inclusive practices for children with special education needs. Communicate regularly with families to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections that support child welfare. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; classroom experience in private or public early childhood programs is highly valued. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Strong skills in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing results and promote active learning. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners. Certification or credential in early childhood education or related field preferred; relevant coursework or training in special education is advantageous. Familiarity with toddler care practices, classroom management tools, and child welfare standards to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
