Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among preschool children. Engage children in hands-on activities that support childhood development milestones and early intervention strategies. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques, ensuring a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor each child's progress, adapting lesson plans as needed to meet individual needs. Support toddler care routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap times, maintaining high standards of child welfare. Incorporate Montessori methods and other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences. Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool or early childhood education is highly preferred. Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing is advantageous. Experience with special education or early intervention programs demonstrates a strong foundation in working with diverse learners. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies ensures a positive learning environment. Previous daycare or private school experience provides valuable insight into childcare best practices. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with children, parents, and team members. Demonstrated commitment to child welfare and understanding of childhood development principles are key to success in this role.

Pay:

$13.50 - $14.50 per hour
